What is financial abuse? Thursday 13 June - 3pm

When your partner or someone else close to you tries to control you with money, that’s financial abuse.

It could be that your partner won’t let you access your bank account. Or they have made you take out loans or credit for them. Maybe the relationship is over and you’re left with the debt. Maybe they control where you can work, or how much. Maybe they hold back child support payments to control custody arrangements.

They’ve taken away your choices, so you feel less confident and less in control.

Join us in a safe space to learn more about financial abuse, and most importantly, about support to move forward.

Financial abuse is family and domestic violence. It’s about one person controlling another person with money or work. It can happen to anyone, in any relationship, and it’s not your fault.
