- It’s available to the client you are referring, regardless of who they bank with.
- The client does not need to provide evidence or tell their story to access the service
- FIH is a co-designed, trauma-informed service.

What happens after you make a referral?
Once the referral is received an FIH Hub Coordinator will attempt to make contact with the client to:
- Welcome them into FIH
- Explore how FIH can partner with them in their recovery
- If needed, provide a warm referral to our financial coaching and/or financial counselling teams.

We are collecting information about you on behalf of Good Shepherd, which we will provide to them as part of the referral. In order to help you, Good Shepherd will store information about you. If you do not provide this information, they may not be able to help you.
They will assess your financial situation, gather your information and provide information about the options you have, including taking out a no interest loan. Good Shepherd team members are not financial advisors, lawyers or accountants.
Your privacy is important to them. They have a privacy policy that describes how they collect, use, store & dispose of your personal information. You can find a copy on their website or they can email a copy to you. You can ask them to do this anytime you are speaking with them.
Your information will be stored securely & only people who need the information for their job and who have permission can look at it.
You can look at the information they hold about you and correct it if it is inaccurate by contacting them on 1300 050 150.
They may be obliged to disclose information to other parties, including where required by the law and for quality of compliance auditing.
The team member will ask for your verbal consent for the collection & use of your personal information. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
