What Firmer Foundations NSW offers

Firmer Foundations is a free financial capability program, supporting people in NSW who want to improve their wellbeing by learning how to manage their money better. Our program offers both One on One Financial Capability Coaching, as well as Financial Capability Workshops for the Community Sector.

 

One on One Financial Capability Coaching
A free coaching program for people who want to develop financial resilience. Our financial capability coaching provides a non-judgemental, confidential space to explore goals around money, and we draw on your strengths and value your choices.

 

By setting personal goals, you can:
– Build confidence to manage your money
– Understand your money habits
– Enhance your budgeting skills
– Explore income and education options
– Save for your goals
– Increase your knowledge, including rights and entitlements

 

Our sessions are held online or over the phone, and all NSW residents are welcome.

Community Sector Worker Training

Our free community sector training is an essential toolkit for community sector workers. Our workshops introduce coaching concepts and share tools to equip community workers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to have empowering financial conversations with their clients.

 

Our comprehensive workshops offer current insight into disadvantage in Australia & the practice tools to engage & enable clients to build financial resilience. Our focus is on the prevention and/or recovery from financial stress or hardship.

 

Workshop training topics include:

– Supporting Clients with everyday money management
– Understanding financial hardship in Australia
– Understanding economic harm
– Supporting client’s to make friends with bills
– Budgeting – Your client’s new superpower
– Festive Financials – Support your client to financially survive the season

 

Sessions are held online and all NSW community workers, mentors, volunteers, and industry agencies are welcome to attend.

By setting personal goals, you can:

  • build confidence dealing with money
  • enhance your budgeting skills
  • explore income and education options
  • save for your goals
  • increase your knowledge, including rights and entitlements
