Message from the Chair

As the new Chair, I am pleased to affirm that Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand remains committed to delivering evidence-based services that put women and girls at the centre of all that we do.

We continue to provide community-based programs, services and research that support women, girls and families to build their safety and resilience, increase their access to education opportunities and improve their financial security.

Our Women’s Research, Advocacy and Policy (WRAP) Centre challenges public policies that entrench disadvantage and impact women’s safety, economic security, personal wellbeing, social inclusion and access to justice. The WRAP Centre also drives innovation for programs within our organisation.

We recognise that investing in services that improve the lives of women and girls has a positive effect on families and communities. In this way, we aim to disrupt the intergenerational cycle of disadvantage so that women and girls can live safe and self-determined lives.

Whether you are a new or old friend of Good Shepherd, thank you for walking alongside us and so many people who are making powerful changes in their own lives.

Alison McClelland AM, Chair
