This week sees some of our Mornington-Peninsula teams move offices. Today, Monday 7 November, the Mornington team will move to Suite 1, 346 Main Street, Mornington. This Wednesday 9 November, the Hastings team will move from Church Street to Suite 1 and 6, 184 Salmon Street, Hastings. Both offices are less than a 10-minute walk from the previous locations, making it easy for clients. Reception phone numbers will remain the same.

This morning, we presented an evaluation of our secondary school The Waranara Centre at the Doing School Differently Conference in Melbourne. Principal Kirsty Rose and Good Shepherd Outcomes and Evaluation Specialist Lanie Stockman discussed ways the centre creates positive change in students’ attendance, engagement and behaviour – all critical to academic improvement.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of long-standing Board member, Alison McClelland to the position of Chair of the Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand Board. Alison brings a wealth of experience from her senior positions in government, academia and the community sector.

The Power to Persuade and Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand jointly hosted Putting Women at the Centre: A Policy Forum in Melbourne today, a one-day forum that explored themes of justice and economic security as they manifest for women. Good Shepherd presented a new economic security index designed to measure the economic security of family violence survivors.

Architecture and Design have named the Good Shepherd Chapel at Abbotsford one of their editor's picks for this year's Open House Melbourne Weekend on 30 and 31 July. Members of the public are invited to take part in a free, guided tour of chapel during the course of the weekend to learn more about the building's historic past.

Victorian artist Charlotte Clemens has created "On Thin Ice", a gripping collection of artworks that captures the emotions experienced by friends and family of people experiencing drug addiction. The exhibition is open every day from Thursday 28 July to Sunday 21 August, 10am - 3pm.
