The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating current and future projects, and related emerging priorities within the Safety and Resilience Division. Reporting to the General Manager Safety & Resilience, the Projects Manager will develop, implement, and review innovative concepts and projects that enhance Safety and Resilience, its service offerings and the outcomes achieved for clients and funders.

The Safety and Resilience Division is operational in both Victoria and New South Wales and includes Family Violence, Family and Youth Services and Waranara School.

The scope of projects to be led by this important role are exciting and wide-ranging.

The role is required to work flexibly and in an adaptive way with an ability to respond to and prioritise competing demands.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager will work in partnership with the Safety & Resilience leadership team and other business areas, combining the ability to collaborate with others and influence across the organisation to achieve successful project outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • In consultation with others, design, develop, plan, and prioritise projects; including developing clear project plans that articulate a role for each member of the project team
  • Use relationships and influence to collaboratively drive projects with subject matter experts across the organisation, and where required, with external consultants or contractors
  • Lead the project team through demonstration and foster open communication and collaboration
  • Supervise and coach project team members throughout projects
  • Ensure all projects are informed by client voice with a focus on achieving client participation
  • Advise on State and Federal Government priorities, particularly with regard to service offerings and funding approaches. In consultation with General Manager Safety & Resilience, develop relationships with State and Federal Government offices and agencies to leverage opportunities that work to achieve outcomes for Safety & Resilience.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience within a not-for-profit organisation
  • Demonstrated track record managing a project on time and within budget
  • Strong commitment to and capacity for teamwork, collaboration and networking
  • PRINCE2 and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desirable

You may be required to obtain particular vaccines or immunisations in order to perform the Inherent requirements of this position. This Includes but Is not limited to the COVID-19 vaccine/immunisation.
