Financial counsellors provide intensive support through an in-depth phone and/or face to face assessment of a person’s financial situation, case work, advocacy, and the identification of options to address financial concerns. Financial counsellors may undertake a triage process, prioritising and referring clients to other sources of support and assistance as necessary and work closely with other services through consultation and cross referral. Financial counsellors always support the person’s fullest participation and empowerment in planning and decision-making using a trauma Informed approach.

The Corporate Referral & Financial Hardship portfolio provides predominately phone-based services with a national footprint but also includes some specific state-based program. Programs include those supporting people experiencing financial hardship with other complex needs (e.g., family Violence, Risk of Homelessness, mental illness) to access to short term case coordination, access to No Interest loans, financial educations, and financial counselling as well as programs to support with energy affordability.
The Case Coordinator is an integral member of the Corporate Referral and Niche program which delivers high-quality, short-term support and service navigation to clients experiencing complex support needs, including people experiencing family violence, risk of homelessness, mental ill health, and other vulnerabilities. While this program is not intended to replace existing crisis services, Case Coordinators will work with people who are in crisis, including those experiencing family violence and homelessness. The Case Coordinator will support clients to access the appropriate crisis services for their needs.
The Adolescent & Family Sexual Assault Counsellor provides counselling for adolescents aged 12 to 18 years and their family members. Max term Contract until 30 June 2023, 0.6 FTE based in Marrickville, NSW.
This position will form part of an integrated team within the Rapid Response and After-Hours program delivering high quality face to face and over the phone support to women and children who are experiencing family violence across the Bayside Peninsula Region.
The Family Violence Case Manager is an integral member of the Family Violence Team and delivers high quality short as well as longer term intensive case management services to women and children who have experienced, or are currently experiencing, family violence, including women who choose to remain in the relationship. The role contributes extensive knowledge and understanding of family violence to outreach case management and supports clients accommodated in emergency accommodation and transitional housing, delivering valued services and outcomes.
This position will form part of an integrated team within the Support and Safety hub, providing women, families and young people with coordinated access to the information and support they require to be safe, strong and connected.
